The Bucks CAB Consortium
We have continual close dialogue with the other Buckinghamshire CAB, in Chiltern, Buckingham and Aylesbury and early in 2009 joined with them in forming a separate charitable company Bucks CAB Consortium as a means to seek county wide funding and to investigate ways to achieve synergy between us.
High Wycombe CAB is a member of the Consortium company and the Chairman of High Wycombe CAB is a director, trustee and chairman of the Consortium.
The Consortium itself does not provide advice but helps the operations of the individual bureaux.
Key achivements
- Obtaining funding from Bucks County Council to improve the level of Money Advice across the county. This funding is used by the individual bureaux to increase the amount of advice delivered to people to help overcome their debt problems.
- Acting as the forum for seeking ways to streamline our activities.
